Le Cercle de Bacchus Introduces 2017 Debutantes

Le Cercle de Bacchus has announced the names of 15 young women to be presented Jan. 28, 2017, at its 59th annual Presentation Ball at the Baton Rouge River Center.

The debutantes will be officially introduced to the community as well as honored by Bacchus past presidents during a July 24 reception at the Baton Rouge Country Club.

The debutantes are Mary Catherine Barrow, daughter of Dr. Gray and Teresa Barrow, stepdaughter of Angelique Barrow; Natalie Wren Bell, daughter of Lynda Carolyn Ramsey and Thomas Wren Bell; Claire Yvonne Bienvenu, daughter of and Yvonne and Michael Bienvenu Sr.; Brenton Elizabeth Buckles, daughter of Jonathan Buckles and Courtney McGraw; Catherine Adele Gauthier, daughter of William and Cynthia Gauthier; Emily Grace Hyman, daughter of Mike Hyman and Lea Anne Batson; Hannah Reed Hyman, daughter of Mike Hyman and Lea Anne Batson; Sarah Karam, daughter of Bernhard “Hab” and Amy Karam; Mary Michael Quinn, daughter of Dr. Michael Quinn and the late Laura Juneau Quinn, stepdaughter of Michelle Quinn; Elizabeth Ann Ragusa, daughter of Jeff and Michelle Ragusa; Madeline Lucille Ragusa, daughter of Jeff and Michelle Ragusa; Charlotte Elaine Russell, daughter of Rory and Beverly Russell; Melissa Ruth Sadler, daughter of Chris and Sandy Sadler; Madison Elizabeth Thompson, daughter of Patrick and Peggy Thompson; and Shelby McCall Toups, daughter of Stephen and Valerie Toups.

Mary Catherine Barrow, a graduate of University High School, attends LSU, where she is a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority and the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. Her grandparents are the late Mary Calder Harris, the late John Harris, the late Dr. Wylie Barrow and the late Sarah Barrow.

Natalie Wren Bell, a graduate of the Dunham School, attends the University of Mississippi, where she is a member of Kappa Delta sorority, the American Marketing Association, the Society for Collegiate Leadership and Achievements and Reformed University Fellowship. She is the owner of All Crossed Up Jewelry. Her grandparents are the late Mr. and Mrs. William Wallace Ramsey and the late Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Thomas Bell.

Claire Yvonne Bienvenu, a graduate of St. Joseph’s Academy, attends LSU, where she is a member of the Chi Omega sorority, the National Honor Society, TAF and the mock trial club. She also serves as a page for the state House of Representatives. Her grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Ronald F. Fenasci, Mr. and Mrs. Warren Boren and Mrs. D. Mark Bienvenu.

Brenton Elizabeth Buckles, a graduate of St. Joseph’s Academy, attends LSU, where she is a member the Kappa Delta sorority. Her grandparents are Sybil Rhodes and the late J. Brent Rhodes and Col. Tony and Nancy Buckles.

Catherin Adele Gauthier, a graduate of St. Joseph’s Academy, attends LSU, where she is a member of the Chi Omega sorority. Her grandparents are Maris Sutton and the late Norman Sutton Sr. and Nita and William G. Gauthier Jr.

Emily Grace Hyman, a graduate of University Lab School, attends LSU, where she is a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. Her grandparents are the late Emmett Batson and Anne McIlhenny and Sara Patterson and Lea Hyman.

Hannah Reed Hyman, a graduate of University Lab School, attends LSU, where she is a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. Her grandparents are the late Emmett Batson and Anne McIlhenny and Sara Patterson and Lea Hyman.

Sarah Karam, a graduate of University Lab School, attends LSU, where she is a member of the Kappa Delta sorority, Phi Eta Sigma Freshman National Honor Society, LSU Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society, 4 the Kids Children’s Charity board member and Live2Serve Christian Outreach. Her grandparents are Richard J. Searles and the late Deana Searles and the late Bernard and Rosalie Karam.

Mary Michael Quinn, a graduate of Episcopal High School, attends LSU, where she is a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. Her grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. J.L. Juneau and Louis S. Quinn Sr. and the late Jane Ellison Quinn.

Elizabeth Ann Ragusa, a graduate of St. Michael the Archangel, attends Baton Rouge Community College. Her grandparents are Lynn and Bud Collet and Patti and Ben Ragusa.

Madeline Lucille Ragusa, a graduate of St. Michael the Archangel, attends Baton Rouge Community College. She previously attended LSU, where she was a member of the LSU Color Guard. Her grandparents are Lynn and Bud Collet and Patti and Ben Ragusa.

Charlotte Elaine Russell, a graduate of Episcopal School of Baton Rouge, attends LSU, where she is a member of the Chi Omega sorority, Tiger Athletic Foundation and the Fashion Association. Her grandparents are Anne Hise and Bill Hise and Mary Elaine Russell and Wilson Russell.

Melissa Ruth Sadler, a graduate of Episcopal High School, attends the University of Oklahoma, in Norman, Oklahoma, where she is a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. Her grandparents are Mary Francis Sayre and the late Robert H. Sayre and Frank and Janice Sadler.

Madison Elizabeth Thompson, a graduate of St. Joseph’s Academy, attends LSU, where she is a member of the Phi Mu sorority, and an assistant area head in Phi Mu. Her grandparents are Dr. and Mrs. Thomas Warner and Gilbert Thompson and Linda Napolitano.

Shelby McCall Toups, a graduate of St. Joseph’s Academy, attends LSU, where she is a member of the Chi Omega sorority and Gamma Beta Phi Honors Society. Her grandparents are Val Ann Robert Theile and the late Dr. Woodson Harvey and Mr. and Mrs. Roland Toups.
